Turmeric milk or turmeric latte is also known as golden milk. Turmeric is loaded with health benefits and offers you multiple medicinal properties - served warm in a mug, the result is a bright yellow creamy drink that is anti-inflammatory and can help regulate blood sugar levels and reduce the risk of several diseases. There are different ways to add turmeric to your diet. Turmeric milk is a great way to consume turmeric. This golden drink is extremely healthy and there are great health benefits:

  1. Helps Fighting inflammation and Joint Pain

  3. Promotes heart health

  4. Controlling blood sugar levels

  5. Boosts immunity and brain function

  6. Reduce Your Risk of Cancer

You can prepare a turmeric latte at your home with only a few ingredients and avail all the numerous health benefits it offers. Here are some noticeable benefits of turmeric milk and the method to prepare it.


Recipe


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of cow's milk or plant-based milk (Almond or oat) (500ml)

  • 1 tbsp of turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tbsp of ground cinnamon or organic cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp of honey, unrefined sugar or a sweetener


Method:

  1. Pour the milk into a pot and cook over high heat until hot. Do not boil.

  2. Remove from the heat and add the rest of the ingredients.

  3. If needed, add more milk, turmeric, cinnamon or honey to the mixture.

  4. Use a milk frother to get a better texture, but it's optional. 

  5. Pour the turmeric latte into the mug, serve and enjoy!
