Wednesday Wellness: Here's how to make your own turmeric latte.


Turmeric milk or turmeric latte is also known as golden milk. Turmeric is loaded with health benefits and offers you multiple medicinal properties. There are different ways to add turmeric to diet. Turmeric milk is a great way to consume turmeric. This golden drink is extremely healthy and there are great health benefits:

  6. Reduce Your Risk of Cancer

You can prepare turmeric latte at your home with only a few ingredients and avail all the numerous health benefits it offers. Here are some noticeable benefits of turmeric milk and method to prepare it.












Turmeric Latte


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of almond milk (500ml)

  • 1 tbsp of turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tbsp of ground cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp of honey or a sweetener


Method:

  • Pour the milk into a saucepan and cook over high heat until it's hot. Don't bring it to a boil.

  • Remove from the heat and add the rest of the ingredients. Stir and try the milk, add more milk, turmeric, cinnamon or syrup if needed.

  • We used a milk frother to get better texture but it's optional. You can also blend the hot milk with the rest of the ingredients in a blender if you want.


Pour the turmeric latte into the mug, serve and enjoy!
